If you follow the drawing
you,ll get a nace lang lovely walk in Neorreskov (forest), which
end at the memorial stone for Elvira Madigan and Sixten Sparre
placed where they died 1889. THis stone was placed in the early
sixties. On the same spot was another stone. Smaller and also
without any inscription. After their death which is similar to
the Mayerling drama in Austria earlier that year, a form of suicidal
epidemi began all around. There where more who shot or killed
themselves otherwise, not just in Denmark but also in other countries
like England. Whether it was inspired by the Mayerling drama or
Elvira and Sixtin (also known as the Tosinge drame) is unclear.
See there grave in Landet churchyard.
